Job description
The Player Progression Academy (PPA) is the premier youth sports organization in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, offering programs for athletes aged 2–18. Our mission is to create great experiences and promote holistic development through sports. With over 50 competitive soccer teams competing in EDP, State Cup, and USYS National League, we take pride in our passionate and skilled coaching staff.
We’re seeking experienced, enthusiastic, and dynamic soccer coaches to join our premier coaching staff. If you’re passionate about developing young athletes, are committed to excellence, and thrive in a fun, team-oriented environment, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Plan & Lead
Coach 2–3 practices per week and 1 game per weekend per team (5–6 hours weekly commitment per team).
Tournaments
- Coach 2–6 tournaments annually based on age and skill level.
- Team
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents and players.
Development
- Attend 4 annual coaching workshops and use Trace film breakdown for 9v9 and 11v11 teams.

Requirements
Experience
3+ years of soccer coaching experience, with a proven ability to teach technical and tactical principles effectively.
Licensing
A minimum US Soccer D License (PPA covers 50% of further license costs).
Location
Candidates must be local to the Washington, DC/Bethesda, MD area or planning to relocate.
