Special Education Teacher

The special education teacher plans and facilitates learning for students with disabilities by adapting curriculum and implementing individual education program (Iep) services. They maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment while collaborating with staff and administration to monitor student progress and achieve academic goals.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and a current nebraska teaching certificate with a special education endorsement. Experience with behavior management and positive reinforcement techniques is required, along with the ability to obtain a nationally recognized personal restraint model certification.
