Starting at $25.00/hour + comprehensive benefits Pay Range: $25.00-$28.00/hour Hours: 30+ hours/week, M-F, evening and Saturday hours Location: Various locations throughout Orange County Job Summary: Work with youth who have been referred to the program due to involvement with law enforcement. Facilitate group counseling classes for youth across Orange County. Develop individualized care plans for youth assigned to address their risk and needs. Provide comprehensive case management services to youth and their families. Maintain consistent communication with referring agents, responsible for meeting weekly productivity expectations, and maintaining accurate and up to date case records. Essential

Duties & Responsibilities

Mentor youth and families referred to program addressing risk and needs to reduce recidivism Provide screening and assessments to youth and their families Provide comprehensive case management, including referrals and linkages to basic needs, long-term mental health, and youth development and engagement Support youth to attend community programs, appointments, and activities that contribute to their well-being and development Implement and facilitate group curriculum Develop and/or co-develop individualized care plans for youth on their caseload Monitor youth’s progress in program and conduct follow-ups to ensure ongoing support Ensure inclusive and equitable policies and procedures that reflect a commitment to serving all youth and families Ensure culturally responsive, trauma-informed approaches in working with youth and their families Work with diverse populations in a culturally competent manner Maintain awareness and connection to community resources Maintain an average caseload of up to 30 youth participants Attend weekly supervision; plan and execute regularly scheduled meetings with colleagues, partners, clients, etc. Provide clear, timely, and accurate information as well as complete and provide feedback through introductory and yearly evaluations by established deadlines Assist with grant reporting, data collection, and maintain compliance with program requirements Apply critical thinking skills when problem solving; develop a high-quality program through planning and goal setting Remain objective in crisis situations and maintain healthy and professional boundaries; maintain confidentiality Complete daily process notes for each client within 48 hours and adhere to proper documentation procedures Document all services rendered including phone contact, completed services, referrals, etc. in database; maintain excellent documentation skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly, concisely, and descriptively Maintain communication and professionalism with law enforcement, school personnel, clients, parents, community partners, and other BGCGG departments Maintain close daily contact with staff, participants, and supervisors to receive and provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines and instructions, instruct, advise, and counsel Respond to phone messages, emails, and other forms of communication within two business days Maintain a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment, and supplies are well kept Maintain up to date knowledge of HIPAA, FERPA, BBS, and of administrative, clerical procedures, and systems Report all Child Abuse cases to CAR, complete CAR reports as needed, and adhere to all legal and ethical standards by the state regulatory board (BBS) Recognize potential issues and apply problem solving as needed; work productively with minimum supervision and to take initiative on projects Effectively use Microsoft Office programs, electronic scheduling, evaluation and database software Uphold organization’s mission and values Effectively participate in being a part of a high performing team, while ensuring a productive work environment Additional
