  • Range: $51,000.00 - $80,000.00 Salary/yearVerbum Dei Jesuit High School is accepting applications from individuals who seek a teaching position. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of effective communication, collaboration, and successful teaching pedagogy. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES Teachers teach five periods in a college-preparatory environment. This involves lesson planning, lesson presentation, student assessment, and individualized student support as needed. Teachers are expected to collaborate with fellow teachers on curriculum and instruction. In addition, teachers are to establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom, maintain appropriate and timely records of student progress, communicate with parents, and establish and maintain an effective learning environment for students. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Teachers are expected to participate in the school community, including co-curricular programs, exam proctoring, classroom substitutions, lunchtime supervision, and the school’s spiritual program – retreats, school-wide liturgies, and/or community service programs.
