Job description

  • Kids N Fitness of Decatur East is a licensed childcare center seeking an Assistant Teacher to support our Two-Year-Old classroom!
  • To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED and the ability to pass all background checks.
  • A plus if you have previous childcare experience!

  • Main Job Responsibilities: Willingness to effectively substitute for any position as needed.
  • This includes covering staff members’ breaks, filling in for staff members in their absences, and assuming the classroom duties of staff members before or after their scheduled shifts.
  • Demonstrate patience, kindness and positive interactions with all children, parents, and staff.
  • Operate as a team player and willingness to help where needed under the director of the lead teacher.
  • Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
