  • Job position summary: The Attendant Care Worker at the Learn and Play Therapeutic Center delivers one-one-one, interactive, community-based mental health services to preschool-aged children utilizing a strengths-based, and skill building philosophy in the areas of problem solving, social skills, personal relationships and health/hygiene.   • FUNCTIONS: Provides support to children with Serious Emotional Disturbance individually and in group setting as they develop new skills to increase daily functioning Supports individual clients during crisis situations to aid with symptom reduction, stabilization and restoration to their ability to re-join their peers Works in a fast-paced environment in conjunction with other staff Coordinates with other staff members to facilitate the treatment plan outlined for the client by the managing clinician Plan, organize and implement curriculum to support the use of new skills in working with peers, expressing emotions in a healthy manner, and problem-solving obstacles Maintains accurate and timely documentation of service provisions reflecting appropriate interventions, service types, and progress towards goals
  • Provides transportation when necessary to clients
