Our instructors bring real-world expertise into the classroom and help students explore potential academic and career pathways through hands-on learning. Programs typically run once per week for about 10 weeks, allowing instructors to teach part-time while maintaining other professional or academic commitments. Position Overview Concorde Education is seeking an engaging Introduction to Nursing Instructor to lead a career-focused after-school enrichment course for high school students. This course introduces students to the nursing profession and broader health care pathways through interactive learning, career exploration, and age-appropriate demonstrations of basic clinical concepts. Instruction focuses on helping students understand what nurses do, how the health care system operates, and the education paths available to those interested in entering the field. Classes meet once per week for approximately 10 weeks and emphasize discussion, real-world insights, and introductory health care knowledge appropriate for a high school setting. What You’ll Teach Students will explore foundational concepts related to nursing careers and the health care field.
  • Topics may include: Roles and responsibilities of nurses across health care settings Overview of health care career pathways (RN, LPN/LVN, CNA, allied health) Professionalism in health care environments Basic patient communication and teamwork skills Health care ethics and patient rights fundamentals Infection control and public health basics Introduction to vital signs and what they indicate Overview of major body systems relevant to nursing Observation and clinical reasoning concepts First aid awareness and safety practices Career preparation and workplace readiness in health care

Responsibilities
