Overview
Our free, confidential and voluntary, 13-bed shelter serves youth, 12-17 years old, for up to 30 days. Counselors provide nonjudgmental, individualized support to help youth reunite with their families or find alternative, stable housing.
Schedule
Relief/ part-time position. Hours can include a combination of days, evenings, overnights and weekends.
Responsibilities
Supervision of: wake-up, clean-up, daily chores and bedtime Distribution of medications and appropriate documentation Liaison with Intake and Emergency Shelter Support (Counseling) teams Individual counseling and mentoring After-hour response, assessment and intake of youth in need Development and supervision of social, cultural and recreational activities Crisis/conflict/prevention/intervention, response and intervention Maintenance of accurate and timely program records Maintenance of facility and grounds Daily meal planning and preparation Required Qualifications: High School Degree OR GED OR equivalent combination / 1 year human service experience preferred A valid driver's license Skills: Counseling approaches and techniques Crisis prevention Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Pay Rate: $17 per hour *All Offers may be contingent on a Background check and Driving record & Automobile insurance that meets agency insurance carrier requirements.
