  • The Role

We are looking for a Karate Sensei to join the Multnomah Athletic Club athletics team. This individual will be responsible for teaching on-site all Karate classes in the Japanese Style, Shindo-Jinen Ryu, that is currently being run at the club. Classes run Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings from 5:15 pm to 8:30pm. Hourly wage is determined by level of experience.

  • What You'll Do Responsible for teaching of Karate to all levels of students, juniors, beginners, and intermediate through advanced.
  • Must have working knowledge of current Japanese style of Karate that is currently being taught.
  • Complies with all Club safety policies and procedures, demonstrating safe work practices.
  • Identifies and reports unsafe or hazardous work conditions.
  • Reports all workplace injuries and illnesses to Supervisor.
  • Promotes the MAC code of conduct in club activities and demonstrates the importance of providing quality service to members.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance as assigned.
  • Participate in all Club-related training classes What You'll Bring Minimum of two years teaching experience in Karate Ability to perform the essential job functions.
