Your role
As a Lead Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will take ownership of a classroom and be the primary educator for the children and families in your care. Your day-to-day focus will be on creating a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment where children develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
What you will do
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities aligned with developmental milestones for the age group
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements at all times
- Observe and document each child's development and communicate progress regularly with families
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with parents and caregivers through daily communication and scheduled conferences
- Collaborate with your co-teacher and center leadership to maintain consistency and quality across the program
- Complete required documentation including attendance, incident reports, and developmental assessments
Pay and benefits
Pay
$13- $15 per hour, based on experience and education.

Qualifications
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a background check
- Completion of 12 hours of childcare training within 30 days of hire (we will help you get there)
- Genuine care for children and a commitment to their safety and well-being
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with families
- Physical ability to meet the demands of working with young children
