About the Role

As a Mandarin Elementary Teacher at Stratford School, you will work as part of a team to develop a plan of instruction appropriate for the elementary students in our afterschool immersion program. The emphasis will be on vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This person must be professionally prepared to teach Mandarin to young children. This is a temporary position, with an anticipated duration of approximately 4–5 months. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and candidates must be available to work until 6:00 p.m. each day. You will also Plan, supervise, and implement curriculum for the campus afterschool program Collaborate with other faculty and staff members Provide administrative support Float between classrooms to provide teaching support Monitor and assess student progress Maintain an ordered and arranged classroom environment What We Are Looking For Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Two years of prior classroom experience in an elementary setting Must be fluent in English and Mandarin Be authorized to work in the U.S. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
