This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and volunteers while helping ensure smooth HR processes, strong internal communication, and an engaging workplace culture aligned with the mission and values of Prestonwood Christian Academy (PCA). Duties and Responsibilities
Employee & Volunteer Processing Coordinate and process background checks for all employees and volunteers. Manage volunteer onboarding processes, communication, and documentation. Support onboarding activities for new hires, including orientation preparation, account setup coordination, and employee documentation. Assist employees with benefit elections during Open Enrollment, new hire enrollment, and qualifying life events. Maintain accurate employee and volunteer records in HR systems. Employee Engagement & Communication Plan, coordinate, and support employee engagement initiatives, appreciation events, celebrations, and HR-sponsored activities throughout the year. Create and maintain divisional informational bulletin boards and employee-facing communication displays. Develop and schedule content for PCA at Work social media platforms to promote employee culture, recognition, events, and organizational initiatives. HR Operations & Systems Administration Coordinate employee badge creation and new hire photography. Process key requests and assist with key inventory management and tracking. Oversee HR supply inventory and purchasing while managing assigned HR budget lines. Assist with configuration oversight and user access management for Brushfire and designated PCA systems/platforms. Manage user access requests, permissions, and basic administrative functions for assigned systems. Safety & Compliance Serve as the Workers’ Compensation Coordinator and work closely with the Prestonwood Baptist Church (PBC) HR Department to process claims, maintain records, and support employee communication related to workplace injuries. Ensure HR processes remain compliant with organizational procedures and applicable employment requirements. General HR Support Provide excellent customer service and support to employees, volunteers, and leadership teams. Assist with special HR projects, reporting, and operational initiatives as assigned. Support a positive workplace culture through professionalism, collaboration, and responsiveness. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred. Previous experience in human resources, office administration, employee engagement, or operations support preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and HRIS/platform systems. Experience with social media content creation and scheduling preferred. Detail-oriented with strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to move throughout campus locations and event spaces as needed.
