Job description

MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Must have a love for children. Possess a knowledge or willingness to learn about the physical, social, mental, and spiritual development of children. Must be dependable. Must be able to get along with others. Must be friendly and cheerful.

Primary responsibilities

  • Arrive and prepare assigned room 15 minutes prior to the scheduled Worship service or event.
  • Welcome parents and children at the nursery door in a friendly manner.
  • Check diaper bags and other belongings for proper name identification.
  • Label items with child’s name if needed.
  • Provide for the safety and well-being of children during the child care session.
  • Check children regularly for diaper changing or toileting needs.
  • Adhere to the approved child care policies and procedures when changing diapers and washing hands.
  • Provide scheduled feeding or snack for infants and children.
  • Communicate child’s activities to the parents at the time of pick-up.
  • Clean room thoroughly and disinfect toys and surfaces in accordance to the Nursery’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Regularly review and be familiar with FPC’s Nursery Policies and Procedures.
  • Attend caregiver staff meetings.
  • Attend annual CPR/First Aid training sessions.
