Job Summary
The Multi-Site Childcare Support Team Member serves as a flexible, dependable resource across our two daycare centers and preschool. This role is essential in maintaining required child-to-staff ratios at all three locations, ensuring every child receives safe, attentive, and nurturing care at all times. In addition to direct childcare coverage, the team member supports the overall health and operations of each facility through basic administrative assistance and routine facility upkeep.
Duties & Responsibilities
Float between all three sites (two daycare centers and the preschool) as needed to maintain state-required child-to-staff ratios. Provide attentive supervision and age-appropriate engagement for children in assigned classrooms. Support Head Teachers and Site Directors with daily classroom routines, transitions, meals, and outdoor play. Step in during planned and unplanned staff absences to ensure consistent, uninterrupted care. Follow each site’s established schedules, routines, and behavioral guidance practices. Assist with basic administrative tasks such as sign-in/sign-out logs, attendance tracking, and filing. Help prepare materials, communication packets, or other documents as directed by site leadership. Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of classrooms, restrooms, and common areas in accordance with licensing and health standards. Ensure learning materials, toys, and equipment are organized, clean, and in good working condition. Report any facility maintenance needs or safety concerns to the appropriate site director. Assist with set-up and breakdown of activity spaces and meal areas.
Required Experience, Education, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field preferred. 6 months - 1 years of experience working in a child care setting preferred. Reliable transportation and ability to travel between multiple sites as scheduled. Adaptable and able to transition smoothly between different sites, classrooms, and age groups. Calm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively with multiple teams. Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with minimal need for close supervision. Attentive to detail, especially regarding safety, cleanliness, and licensing compliance. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with staff, parents, and children. Proficiency in Google Drive and childcare management software. Knowledge of relevant regulations and licensing requirements (or willingness to learn).
