Campus Behavior Response Team (RBT) - Tucson Campus (K-2nd & 6th-12th Grade)

AZACS is growing, and we invite you to apply to be part of our award-winning team AZACS was awarded the 2023/2024 National ESEA Distinguished Schools Award for Arizona and the 2022 YASS Prize for innovation in education and providing a transformational experience by expanding unique individualized learning programs for autism charter schools.

Under the supervision and direction of the on-site Campus Director of ABA Practices, the Campus Behavior Response Team will support classroom staff to utilize ABA with strategies as students access the adopted curriculum and work towards IEP goals. The Campus Behavior Response Team will provide behavior response support for escalated behaviors, ensuring classroom staff can continue with the delivery of instruction to students in the classroom. Candidates must be experienced with the classroom environment and willing to work under guidance from the ABA Manager to provide support with Behavior Intervention plans and students needing additional support from the classroom. The Campus Behavior Response Team will be required to implement a best-practice education model to achieve optimal results for students on the autism spectrum and related disorders, and support data collection when not responding to classroom behavior escalations.

Duties

Provide behavior response support for escalated behaviors, ensuring classroom staff can continue with the delivery of instruction to students in the classroom Work as part of the cohort behavioral team to implement and support behavior plans Execute and train the behavior intervention plan as directed by the ABA manager. Coaches, monitors, and mentors classroom support staff working with students with disabilities. Provide QBS training for campus support staff and campus instructional staff Train and support PEAK implementation in the classroom Assist students in participating in classroom routines, transitions, and self-care tasks (as necessary) Collect data on behavior and academics as directed Obtain and maintain QBS Certification as a trainer for the campus (provided by AZACS) Train and implement behavior strategies in alignment with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Strong adherence to policies as outlined in the AZACS Employee Manual Maintain professional conduct and appearance Other duties as assigned by the administration.

Minimum Qualifications

Mastery and enthusiasm for best practices in autism education and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Track record of success in behavior management with students with autism or other special needs Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required, or meet Level I ABA Manager requirements without the required credits Ability to approach situations with optimism and perseverance Ability to communicate with co-workers and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to exercise reasonable judgment, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality Experience in structured teaching, center-based model preferred
