Position Overview
- We are looking for Intensive in-home Mental Health Workers and Mental Health Professionals (counselors) for the Community Based Program.
- George Junior Republic Preventative Aftercare is committed to assisting youth and families in establishing safety, permanency, stability and well-being.
- This distinct, mobile position will provide intensive services and trauma informed care to a caseload of seven to ten families referred throughout the county for Children & Youth Services and/or Juvenile Probation.
- Services will be provided within the community, schools and homes.
- Evidence based practices and various treatment modalities will be utilized to engage families.
- Collaboration with schools, mental health agencies, substance abuse services, public assistance programs and other community support organizations is a priority for this position.
Requirements
- Mental Health Worker: Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field. A minimum of two years' experience in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Mental Health Professional: Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Professional licensure preferred, but not required.
- Must live in/near the county
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation
- Must be able to work a non-traditional schedule to provide 24-hour crisis intervention
