Job description

  • Salary/Position classification
  • $15.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 5 hrs/week hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of position

Help students to become better independent learners by assisting them in the understanding of course material and answering their questions.

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist students in the understanding of course material
  • Assist students in identifying strengths and areas of improvement regarding the content of the coursework and study habits
  • Answer student questions and guide them through class assignments
  • Conduct review sessions before exams
  • Completion of CRLA-Certified tutoring training
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and hours worked
  • Other Duties as assigned by the Tutor Coordinator

  • Minimum requirements
  • Must have taken Econ 201, 202, and 210 and have proof of understanding of course material, evidenced by a minimum grade of B in the course (or equivalent coursework) for which you will tutor
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
