Overview
For Scott Community College Diagnostic Medical Sonography & Vascular Technology program students. The Scott Community College Diagnostic Medical Sonography & Vascular Technology Education Stipend provides selected students a $20,000 education stipend to be used to assist with program costs. Upon graduation, education stipend recipients will be required to work at minimum of full time hours per week as an Ultrasound Technologist.
Position Summary
Performs and records two-dimensional ultrasound diagnostic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional patient data. Completes patient intakes via collection of medical history and answers patient questions regarding imaging procedures. Confers with providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborates to determine if additional images required.
