Our Schodack Resource Center is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher that will

  • Nurture and support the development and learning of children aged 6 weeks to 3 years old through the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
  • Use age-appropriate and positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior
  • Build positive relationships with staff and families through positive and professional communication.
  • Create a welcoming classroom environment
  • Plan and implement a daily education program for infant and toddler children that integrates all components of Head Start/Early Head Start Performance Standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the classroom co-teacher and all other program staff.
  • Complete all required paperwork including lesson plans. Observation notes, health logs, child assessments, etc.
  • Create and maintain a safe and healthy environment ensuring adequate supervision and compliance with licensing.

Candidate Qualifications

  • An AAS or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or Infant/Toddler CDA (Child Development Associate)
  • Knowledge of Infant/Toddler child development and family interaction
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without the need for Visa Sponsorship
