About the Role
As a Middle School ELA Teacher, you will work with our gifted and enthusiastic students to implement a rigorous and engaging English Language Arts curriculum. Our ELA program emphasizes reading comprehension, literary analysis, grammar, vocabulary, and writing across multiple genres. This position provides an exciting opportunity to challenge bright learners to think critically, write effectively, and engage deeply with a variety of texts. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to foster a love of literature and language in a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment. You will also… Plan, supervise, and implement the ELA curriculum aligned with school standards Design lessons that challenge students to analyze, interpret, and create a variety of written works Encourage student expression through writing, discussion, and presentations Collaborate with other faculty and staff members across subject areas Monitor and assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed Maintain an ordered and engaging classroom environment that supports learning
- What We Are Looking For Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field preferred Prior classroom teaching experience in middle school ELA strongly preferred Passion for working with gifted and high-achieving students Strong classroom management and communication skills To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
