Overview
St. Elizabeth Seton Parish is seeking a Faith Formation Assistant to carry out administrative tasks of the Faith Formation office.
- Job Responsibilities
- Maintain registration and attendance records/reports/rosters for children, youth, and adults.
- Assist during Faith Formation/Sacramental Preparation sessions from setup to dismissal (including reminders, copies, classroom/teacher set-up, and check-in/attendance).
- Communicate regarding Faith Formation policies and procedures via phone, email, and letter.
- Produce announcements of Faith Formation events, such as the weekly bulletin page, program calendars, and special event publicity.
- Maintain adult and teen volunteer records and reports.
- Supervise office volunteers.
- Procurement of resources and supplies: maintain inventory, place and track orders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- HIgh School Diploma or equivalent.
- Computer skills, including MS Office software, Outlook, and general office routines such as filing, planning, organizing, phone etiquette, follow-up documentation.
- Computer skills, including MS Office software (Word, Publisher, Outlook, SharePoint on the Cloud) and Google Sheets.
- Demonstrate a mature Christian faith and a basic understanding and agreement with Catholic theology.
- Knowledge of ParishSoft and Sacramental Register is preferred.
- Experience in Religious Education and ministry leadership is preferred.
- Bi-lingual communication skills: speaking, reading, and writing fluently in English and Spanish is preferred.
