Dear Mr. Hollenbeck,
I am applying for the Physical Education and Health Teacher position at Two Rivers. I currently teach across an elementary and middle campus and see every student in both buildings each week, which is the same structure your posting describes.
I replaced participation grading with a skills-based assessment, so a student's mark reflects what they can do rather than whether they changed for class. It was unpopular for one term and then defensible in every parent conversation since.
Two Rivers' posting mentions parent questions about how physical education is graded. That is the conversation the change I made was designed to survive, and I would rather walk into it with the assessment already built.
I hold a Wisconsin Educator License in Physical Education for kindergarten through grade twelve, with a Health Education endorsement and current First Aid, CPR and AED certification.
I would welcome a conversation about the coaching expectations attached to the role and how the two campuses share timetable. I am available at your convenience.
Sincerely, Bianca Kowalczyk
