Dear Ms. Petrosyan,
I am applying for the School Nurse position at Fox Hollow School District. I currently cover an elementary and a middle school with a combined enrollment of nine hundred, and your posting's note about delegation training is the part of the role I would want to talk about first.
I manage care plans for students with diabetes, seizure disorders and severe allergy, and I train the unlicensed staff who cover when I am in the other building. That training is the difference between a plan that exists and a plan that works on a day I am not there.
Fox Hollow is asking one nurse to cover three buildings rather than two. That is workable only if delegation is treated as a scheduled part of the role rather than something squeezed in, which your posting appears to recognize.
I hold a Delaware Registered Nurse License, Certified School Nurse credentialling, and current Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
I would like to talk about how the three buildings would be scheduled and what delegation training is already in place. I am glad to meet at your convenience.
Sincerely, Bernadette Oyelaran
