In addition, the system currently has a medical staff of over 150 physicians offering a variety of specialties ranging from family practice to cardiovascular surgery. Terrebonne General is accredited by Joint Commission, the national body that ensures that member hospitals meet established standards for quality of patient care. Terrebonne General is also a member of the Louisiana Hospital Association and is also a member of Premier, a purchasing organization of several hundred hospitals throughout the entire United States.
