Our mission encompasses: 1. Supporting Transdisciplinary Leadership Research: MELI is committed to fostering graduate-level research in leadership, aligning with Claremont Graduate University (CGU)'s transdisciplinary ethos. 2. Showcasing Cutting-Edge Insights: We host speakers, events, and conferences that offer the latest thinking and innovation in effective leadership, ensuring that leaders stay at the forefront of their fields. 3. Disseminating Innovative Leadership Concepts: MELI shares leadership innovations through blogs, posts, videos, and traditional publications, making knowledge accessible to a wide audience. 4. Developing Leaders for Tomorrow: We create degree and non-degree programs, including both credit and non-credit options, to prepare leaders for the evolving challenges of the future. MELI's research excellence is grounded in applied research that addresses current and future leadership challenges. This research encompasses leadership in diverse settings, including large and small businesses, as well as executive leadership in government organizations providing essential services such as public safety, government administration, healthcare, education, and human services. Our research reaches across CGU, collaborating with various departments, including: 1. Division of Behavioral & Organizational Sciences: Focusing on leadership and organizational behavior research. 2. Drucker School of Management: Offering a law enforcement executive leadership training program and expertise in mindfulness and business leadership. 3. School of Community & Global Health: Concentrating on public health leadership. 4. School of Educational Studies: Addressing the needs of school administrators. 5. School of Arts & Humanities: Providing education on museum leadership and arts management.
