Mentor

The mentor will provide mentoring, support, and advocacy to a portfolio of 7th-12th grade participants affected by street violence, facilitating high-Quality programming, planning events, and connecting participants to social services. Responsibilities include building positive relationships, exposing youth to new experiences, serving as a youth advocate, assisting with case plans, and maintaining accurate documentation and caseloads.

Candidates must pass several background checks, including mandated reporter certification, and possess one year of direct service experience with at-Risk youth in the human services field. A valid illinois driver's license, access to a vehicle, and proficiency in microsoft word and excel are also required, with bilingual english/Spanish being preferred.
