Part-Time Opening Teacher – Up to 25 Hours/Week
Opening shift, typically 7:15 AM–12:15 PM, with a maximum of 25 hours per week. Additional hours and opportunities for growth may be available for the right candidate based on program needs, availability, performance, and interest.
Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment? The Gallatin Valley YMCA’s Healthy Learning Academy is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Opening Teacher to join our team serving children ages 3 months to 6 years.

Determined – Committed to building a stronger community. Opening Teacher – Key Responsibilities Help open the Healthy Learning Academy each morning and prepare the classroom for the day. Support the Lead Teacher with classroom routines, curriculum, and daily activities. Provide warm, responsive care and supervision for children. Encourage positive social-emotional development, language, literacy, and healthy habits. Assist with meals, transitions, diapering/toileting, and other daily care needs as appropriate. Maintain a safe, clean, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. Communicate effectively with classroom staff and families. Follow all YMCA, Healthy Learning Academy, and Montana childcare licensing policies and procedures. Work collaboratively with the teaching team to create a positive experience for every child.
