About the role

The Technology Teacher will plan and deliver instruction covering basic technology skills, typing, software use, and foundational coding concepts while teaching digital citizenship and online safety. Responsibilities also include supporting classroom teachers with technology integration and maintaining computer lab hardware.

Job summary

  • St. Clare of Assisi School has an opening for a part-time Technology Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The technology teacher will work closely with classroom teachers to integrate technology needed to advance student needs. This will include but not be limited to:
  • teaching keyboarding skills
  • Google Workspace, Docs, Slides, Sheets
  • teaching how to make presentations and reports
  • Educational apps used in classrooms.

Job responsibilities

Planning and delivering instruction in basic technology skills, typing, and software use.

Teaching digital citizenship, online safety, and responsible technology behaviors.

Introducing foundational coding concepts and problem‑solving activities.

Maintaining and organizing computer lab hardware, peripherals, and supplies.

Supporting teachers with technology integration and digital tools.

Assessing student progress and adapting instruction for diverse ability levels.

Creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Collaborating with staff and participating in school-wide initiatives.

Job requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.

Current and valid teaching certificate.

Prior classroom teaching experience.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm for technology in education.

Growth mindset and passion for helping students build digital confidence.

Completion of the Protecting God’s Children workshop (required by the Archdiocese of St. Louis).

Requirements
