The successful candidate is an educator who will foster students’ understanding and appreciation of mathematics while creating an engaging, supportive classroom environment.

Specific Responsibilities Establish clear objectives for assigned lessons, learning targets and projects and communicate these to students, following the department’s curriculum Collaborate with the Math Department to align curriculum while conveying new ideas and best practices Plan and teach five math sections across all levels, from on-level and honors through AP, using best pedagogical practices Develop the curriculum materials, syllabus, outlines and assessments in alignment with the department Monitor and assess each student’s development and progress in a fair and consistent manner Participate in all faculty, department and committee meetings as required Serve as a mentor teacher to a group of 15-20 students
