The adjunct faculty member is responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, utilizing various methodologies including lectures and hands-on labs, while aligning content with program learning objectives and accreditation standards. The adjunct faculty member in the DMS Sonography Program at Kilgore College is responsible for providing high-quality instruction and supporting student success in alignment with program and institutional goals. This position requires expertise in diagnostic medical sonography, a commitment to student learning, and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive educational environment. This role includes facilitating student engagement through academic and support services while encouraging collaboration with other Health Sciences programs.
Possess an academic degree no lower than an Associate degree and at least equal to that for which the graduates are being prepared;
Possess the appropriate credential(s) specific to the concentration(s) that s/he coordinates;
Have documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance, and in educational theories and techniques; and
Have a minimum of two years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer in the professional sonography field.
Work is typically performed in an interior/office-lab work environment.
Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
Kilgore College does not participate in the federal Social Security program.
All full-time positions are located in Kilgore, TX. No fully work from home positions are available at this time. All employees must be available to physically present to work on the Kilgore, TX or Longview, TX Campus. Some Part-Time and Adjunct positions may be offsite but the candidate MUST live in the State of Texas.

Some Adjunct and Part-Time teaching positions may remain open perpetually as the need for part time instructors fluctuates with student enrollment.
Teaching positions will be required to submit official transcripts upon an offer of employment.
An offer of employment will be contingent upon passing a background check.
