The Assistant Athletic Trainer will provide athletic training services for the Athletics Department, including using ATS software for injury tracking. Responsibilities also involve possible supervision of work study and Capstone internship students.
Candidates must be a NATABOC certified athletic trainer (ATC) in good standing and possess a minimum of one year of experience, along with an Iowa Athletic Trainer’s license or eligibility. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Graceland University is seeking a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer on the Lamoni, Iowa campus. Lamoni is a city in Decatur County, Iowa. The population is about 2,052. Located an hour south of Des Moines; and about 2 hours north of Kansas City on I-35.
This is an 11-month position reporting directly to the Director of Sports Medicine. Graceland University currently serves about 630 student-athletes across 23 varsity sports.
Nights and weekends are required as well as some travel.
Graceland University competes in the NAIA’s highly competitive Heart of America Athletic Conference in a wide variety of sports, so the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with athletes of all types.
