Core responsibilities
Pilates instructors are tasked with developing safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs to achieve goals and ensure retention, while also monitoring and instructing clients on the safe and effective use of pilates equipment during training sessions. They must also conduct fitness consultations, instruct both private and group classes, and actively promote and sell various training programs and classes to members.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged and have at least one year of personal training experience, along with specific certification and training in pilates, including mat, reformer, tower, chair, and barrels. Essential requirements also include cpr and aed certification, and the physical ability to perform various movements and lift up to 50 pounds.
