Job description
Status: Part Time Hourly
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of the Position
- Facilitator will be responsible for running weekly group sessions emphasizing healthy lifestyles and positive behaviors in home school and the community. At a minimum, Facilitator will have experience with group intervention for young people coupled with an ability to relate to youth and families reflecting diverse culture and ethnicity.
- With the Director, Advocates, and other staff as appropriate to ensure that the needs of the program participants are addressed.
- Based on the selected curriculum, develop content and activities for group intervention
- Facilitate weekly group classes following the schedule established for the program.
- Work with the program team to develop and implement a system of incentives and rewards for program participant.
- Administer pre and posttest to program participants and work together with the program team to evaluate results.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience preferred that is related to selected instructional topics.
- Knowledge of community resources, local employment opportunities, and college or training programs in New Jersey.
- Experience working with at-risk youth and families
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance coverage required
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
