The Reading Teacher is responsible for coaching, motivating, and instructing high school students according to the company model and focusing on each student's Individual Graduation Plan (IGP). Primary duties include providing a student-centered learning environment, demonstrating subject matter knowledge, and ensuring school enrollment and attendance goals are met.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, along with the appropriate Teacher's certification and a Reading Endorsement for South Carolina. Preferred experience includes working with at-risk youth, and strong knowledge of secondary education principles and instructional theory is necessary.
