About the role

The coach will be responsible for conducting practices, developing player skills and strategies, providing performance feedback, and evaluating players through various methods. Duties also include coordinating game schedules, practices, and travel arrangements while promoting teamwork and a positive learning environment.

Duties

  • Conduct practices and develop players’ skills and strategies.
  • Provide performance feedback.
  • Evaluate players through various methods.
  • Coordinate game schedules, practices, and travel arrangements.
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive learning environment
  • Ensure the safety of all players during training sessions and games
  • Communicate with parents/guardians regarding player progress and team updates
  • Attend team meetings, coaching clinics, and workshops to enhance coaching skills
  • Season runs: January-July

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities require by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Qualifications

  • Previous coaching experience preferred.
  • High School or College playing experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of baseball.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
