School Social Worker

The school social worker assists students with emotional and social problems that hinder their educational success and acts as a liaison between families, schools, and community agencies. They also mentor less experienced social workers and participate in crisis response teams.

Candidates must have a master's in social work and licensure or certification as a school social worker, along with two or more years of successful school social work experience. Skills in assessment, communication, and knowledge of behavior intervention strategies are essential.
