Basic functions

The Baby Fold is proud to offer meaningful internship experiences across several departments within our organization. We are committed to helping students gain hands-on learning, professional development, and real-world experience while contributing to our mission of serving children and families.

Who should apply: Students who are:

Completing college or graduate level coursework. Seeking practicum, clinical hours, or internship experiences. Interested in supporting children, families, and community focused work. Motivated to grow, learn, and contribute to a mission driven, non for profit organization.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a college degree.
• 2.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 3.
• Ability to meet DCFS driver eligibility requirements.
• 4.
• Willingness and ability to work evening / weekend hours as needed to meet the needs of the agency and the families we serve.
• 5.
• Demonstrated competence in serving a culturally diverse population.
• 6.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse workforce.
• 7.
• Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• 8.
• Must pass necessary background checks.
• 9.
• Must be able to travel periodically for meetings, trainings, or program needs.
• 10.
• Ability to work cooperatively with staff within The Baby Fold, as well as with necessary collateral contacts.
• 11.
• Mission-oriented and willing to apply The Baby Fold’s mission and values to the performance of job responsibilities.
