Requires a Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or Social Science (preferred) and at least one year of experience in social services or early childhood education. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish and possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
This is a hybrid position and the candidate must reside within the following county(s) within Region 8: Val Verde, Edwards, Kinney, Maverick, Dimmit, Zavala, Uvalde, Real, and Medina County.
Satisfactory implementation and delivery of the Parents as Teachers (PAT) Program within the context of the PAT curriculum and Quality Essential Requirements.
A certified parent educator implements the PAT model, emphasizing parent-child interaction, development-centered parenting and family well-being in their work with families. Utilizing the PAT Foundational Curriculum in culturally sensitive ways, the Parent Educator partners, facilitates, and reflects with families.
