Para Educator | Cedar Rapids Prep

The paraprofessional educator will assist in the academic growth and character development of special education students by implementing individual education plans (Ieps) and supporting instruction delivery under teacher guidance. Key duties include providing targeted support inside and outside the classroom, maintaining organization, and fostering student engagement and social skill development.

Candidates must complete an approved paraeducator certification program and verify high school completion or equivalent. Preferred qualifications include 1-3 years of experience working with students with special education needs, along with proficiency in microsoft office suite and strong organizational skills.
