After-School Program Counselor (West End/VCC area)

Counselors are responsible for delivering engaging program lesson plans tailored to the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of elementary-Age children. This includes ensuring child safety, providing active supervision, assisting with homework, and serving as a positive role model.

Candidates must meet the requirements of a program leader as detailed in virginia regulations, which includes a degree in a child-Related field, an early childhood certificate, and six months of programmatic experience with children. Experience in areas like music, arts, science, or literacy, along with excellent leadership and communication skills, is preferred.
