Certified Teacher, Special Education (Gr. K-6)

The master teacher supervises the classroom team, leading and coordinating daily staff work while being responsible for planning and implementing the educational program for assigned students based on their individualized education programs (Ieps) and treatment plans. Duties include providing individualized, whole-Class, and small-Group instruction, maintaining a therapeutic classroom environment, and overseeing staff evaluations.

A master's degree is required, preferably in special education, along with nys certification in special education, literacy, or students with disabilities. Candidates must be able to work with students exhibiting significant emotional, behavioral, and trauma-Related challenges, and proficiency in computer applications is necessary.
