Description Nexus Family Healing-Woodbourne Campus is looking to hire three (3) Mental Health Therapists. Woodbourne Campus is located on a historic site in the heart of Baltimore, Maryland, that has been helping kids in need for over 200 years, originally as an orphanage in the early 1800s. In 2012, Nexus Family Healing affiliated with location, bringing our innovative trauma-informed practices to the youth of Baltimore.
Nexus Family Healing-Woodbourne is seeking a licensed social worker or counselor that is well-versed with Trauma-Informed practices and clinical diagnosis treatment processes to provide mental and behavioral health services to male identifying youth, ages 12 - 18. Provide overall management of youth’s treatment through active engagement, clinical assessment, treatment, and discharge planning. Therapist will provide clinical insight and work from a trauma informed lens to enhance the milieu and programming. Engage with families through family therapy and treatment planning. Collaborate with the community and providers related to the youth’s progress and discharge planning. Primary responsibilities: Trauma Informed Care In coordination with the team, creates and drives a trauma-informed environment; establishing and maintaining a positive treatment culture and making necessary changes to ensure success. Collaboration with youth and family to lead and develop to the Nexus Individual and Family Guidance Plans; ensuring staff understand and utilize them in adherence to policy. Engage in and have active involvement of the Family Collaborative Intake meetings. Complete Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths functional assessment in accordance to the TCOM (collaborative) principals. Through the collaborative effort with family, youth, and providers, develop and monitor the individual treatment plans. Provide individualized, youth-focused, strength and evidenced-based family and individual therapy models to youth and families.
Maryland: Lcpc, lcsw, lcsw-C
Fully Independently Licensed level. Master’s degree and State-specific required licensure.
