The Coding Educator is responsible for ensuring the organization meets all governmental and payer coding guidelines through continuous staff education and auditing documentation using specific quality tools. This role also serves as the primary liaison for coding vendors to proactively prevent claim denials.
Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with 2-3 years of experience in coding, training, or auditing within a multi-specialty medical environment, and knowledge of government coding regulations. Preferred qualifications include post-secondary Anatomy and Physiology coursework and an AHIMA or AAPC coding credential (CPC or CCS minimally).
