Job Description

The Humanities Division at Texas A&M University – Texarkana invites applications for a Lecturer of History to join our faculty beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year. The successful candidate will teach five courses in each fall and five courses in each spring semester across our undergraduate curriculum, including introductory courses in United States History, World History, and Texas History. Lecturer-rank faculty do not have research requirements but may be required to attend faculty meetings, participate in program assessment requirements as part of the Texas Core Curriculum, and provide service to the department. Eligibility to work in the U.S. is required at the time of hire. No pre-employment sponsorship is authorized for this position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach undergraduate courses in History degree programs and core curriculum. Experience using Canvas or similar LMS. Play an integral role in the Humanities Division at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
