Sports Based Youth Development Specialist - Assistant Coach

The assistant coach will use sports and physical activity within an sbyd framework to engage, educate, and energize at-Risk youth, teaching life skills alongside sports skills to help students re-Engage academically. Core duties include supervising students during various times, assisting with event coordination, conducting student check-Ins, aggressive outreach for attendance, and providing academic and socio-Emotional support.

Candidates must possess knowledge of coaching and sports-Based youth development, along with a demonstrated ability to multitask effectively while maintaining high-Quality work. A strong commitment to the organization's mission, core values (Teamwork, leadership, communication), and the use of restorative practices is essential, as is the ability to function well both independently and as part of a team.
