Core responsibilities
Special educators will provide direct 1
1 service with clients in home or school settings, conduct assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans. They will also monitor and adjust treatment plans based on client needs and feedback.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have an active certification as a special educator in new york state and a master's or doctoral degree in a related field. They should also have formal training in behavior analysis and experience with behavioral intervention plans for individuals with developmental disabilities.
