Romeoville Before & After School Care Counselor

The counselor is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all children aged 5-12 in the before and after school care program, while leading engaging enrichment activities like arts, crafts, swimming, and games. They must encourage participation, foster positive relationships, and adhere strictly to all ymca policies and procedures, providing a quality experience aligned with core values.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and preferably have previous experience working with children, ideally in a childcare setting. Required certifications before employment include cpr, first aid, aed, and child abuse prevention training.
