About the role

Preschool Support Teachers assist children aged 2-5 in general and special education classrooms by modeling essential skills. They maintain documentation and ensure a safe and positive learning environment while following each child's treatment plan.

Description Join Our Team As a Preschool Support Teacher for this Fall 2025 school year!

Part-time and Full-time openings Available/ (Bangor and Brewer)

Come join our teaching team and help support students in general education and special education classrooms!

Preschool support teachers play with children ages 2-5 while modeling communication, social, and academic skills.

The Preschool Support Teacher also maintains accurate documentation and records, and implements the philosophy, policies and procedures of the organization.

Part-time and full-time positions available with hours ranging from 7:30-4:30 or 9-3.

Requirements

High School Education or equivalent. 90 credit hours preferred Must obtain CPR/First Aid/BBP certifications within 60 days of hire (provided). Must obtain Safety Care certification within 30 days of hire (provided). Must obtain BHP certification within 12 months of hire (provided). Valid State of Maine driver license, reliable transportation with proof of registration and insurance, and willingness to use own transportation for work. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains daily documentation. Support the child’s learning and goals. Ensure the use of safe play skills. Maintain a positive learning environment. Follow each child’s treatment plan. Maintain client safety at all times.
