Core responsibilities
Substitute program leaders work directly with students, acting as positive role models, coaches, and mentors while providing homework assistance, academic enrichment, and physical activity using provided curriculum. They must also ensure student safety, support positive behavior choices, and maintain a clean and orderly site environment.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have experience working with young children and the ability to inspire and motivate them, along with proof of high school graduation or ged, and either 48 college semester or 60 college quarter units, or passing an instructional aide test. Additional requirements include passing background checks, providing a clear tb test, and passing basic english and math skills tests.
