About the Role

Join Overtime Athletics DMV as a Youth Basketball Instructor and inspire the next generation of athletes! In this exciting role, you will teach fundamental basketball skills while fostering a love for the game in a fun and engaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basketball training sessions for youth of various skill levels.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate drills and activities.
• Provide constructive feedback to players to enhance their skills.
• Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude among participants.
• Monitor player progress and adjust training methods as needed.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Assist in organizing and facilitating basketball camps and clinics.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding player development.

Requirements

• Previous experience coaching or instructing youth basketball preferred.
• Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and have a positive demeanor.
• Passion for sports and youth development.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
